After holding up the earth for nearly an eternity, Atlas was permitted a break from holding up the earth. Eurystheus told Hercules to go down and hold it up for Atlas for his 13th labor. When the earth was passed to Hercules, it was exceedingly heavy, but Hercules was very strong and so he was able to hold it up. Cacus came down to the bottom of the earth to make this labor even harder for Hercules. Cacus blew fire and it made Hercules very hot and tired. Cacus challenged Hercules to a battle, and so the battle began.
Cacus made the first strike at Hercules and it made him stagger which made the earth shake and tremble. Hercules was very tired and hot and he was afraid if he tried to fight Cacus that he would drop the earth and cause the earth and all life to shatter, but he had to fight him. He tried to fight Cacus, but every time he tried, he would nearly drop the precious giant ball, and the earth would shake and tremble, but Hercules would find out a way, and he did. He set the earth on stars, but the earth was so heavy that that they could only hold it for a short amount of time, so in between blows, he had to move it to different stars. He fought Cacus with the sword of Gryphendor that Hermes had stole from Godric Gryphendor and Hermes had lost and Hercules found, this sword had the power of the Phoenix in it, so it was very strong, because it could destroy Horcruxes and Cacus grew weaker and weaker with every blow, and soon Cacus could fight no more. he had been destroyed.
Hercules did not fail in his 13th labor. The earth was then returned to Atlas, and there was much rejoyceing on earth.
